The contract involves the supply of 25 units of a specific indicator panel identified by NSN 7H-6695-015016474-GL, following technical data package version 007 and in accordance with reference number 62416-004. The delivery terms are FOB origin, with the items to be issued to Dynalec Corporation located in Sodus, New York. This procurement is a sole-source negotiation where the government intends to contract exclusively with one supplier based on existing data limitations and insufficient information to consider other vendors. However, the government is open to receiving expressions of interest or quotes before the award date, though a decision to forgo competition remains solely at the government’s discretion. The contract falls under a presolicitation notice issued by the Department of Defense's Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech office based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The solicitation number is N0010412PLE87, posted on August 30, 2012. The requirement concerns the repair or modification of an indicator panel, indicating a specialized, possibly technical supply need. There are no set-aside provisions, and the government's lack of comparable data precludes a competitive procurement process except as informed by potential responses to this notice. The notice clarifies that information submitted will mainly assist the government in deciding whether to proceed with a competitive acquisition.
