J--PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE MP3 DOSEMETRY SYSTEM

March 11, 2008 INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, MAINTENANCE, MP3 WATER PHANTOM DOSEMETRY SYSTEM TO PTW-NEW YORK CORPORATION The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, intends to sole source this procurement to PTW-New York Corporation. This procurement will be sole sourced to provide preventative maintenance for the MP3 Water Phantom Dosemetry System. PTW-New York is the only source capable of servicing this equipment. The PTW system includes proprietary Mephysto software support upgrades and updates which can only be provided by the vendor. There are no other sources that possess support capabilities to maintain the equipment. This procurement is conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency agreements (NAICS 423450). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and no telephone requests will be accepted. However, all firms that meet requirements will be considered. Written notification must be submitted to a contracting officer within (7) calendar days from the date of publication synopsis. The written notification must include supporting evidence in detail. The supporting evidence should offer justification with regard to the firm's ability to meet requirements.
