Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment Description: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. Description: In accordance with OMB Circular A-76, May 29, 2003, this notice provides the formal public announcement of a streamlined competition performance decision of the Aerospace Ground Equipment storage, inspection and maintenance and Transient Alert services performed at Royal Air Force Fairford, United Kingdom. The incumbent service providers affected by this public-private competition are approximately 17 of Department of Defense government personnel positions, consisting of 0 of Department of Defense civilians and 17 of military), and 0 of Department of Defense contracts. The streamlined competition form indicates that, based on market research, a private sector source may be a more cost effective source than agency performance. Therefore, prospective private sector service providers are advised that a solicitation will be issued approximately on 15 January, 2008 for these services. The agency costs on the SLCF used to make this performance decision on 31 October, 2007 shall not be adjusted in any manner except to incorporate changes necessary to reflect formal OMB or DoD cost factor rate changes, and will be made available after a final decision has been determined.
