J -- Repair Secure Terminal Equipment

The 6th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to L3 Communications Systems-East, 1 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08103 for Secure Terminal Equipment (STE) Repairs using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(2), the procedure data for repairing the units is proprietary information and can only be performed by said company. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334290. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in proposal preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 6th Contracting Squadron will consider all proposals received by 3:00pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) 5 June 2007, three days after publication of this notice.
