The Bureau of Reclamation’s Yuma Area Office in Arizona plans to negotiate a sole source contract with Tecan U.S. Inc. for preventative maintenance and service of the Genesis RSP 150/4 laboratory equipment. This contract includes a base year with four option years, requiring the contractor to supply all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform maintenance and service tasks. The sole source restriction is due to Tecan U.S. Inc. being the only company capable of providing these specialized services. The procurement will utilize Simplified Acquisition procedures, with an anticipated award date of June 15, 2006. Interested and responsible parties are invited to submit quotes by noon on June 15, 2006. Submissions must demonstrate the contractor’s ability to meet the service requirements and can be mailed, faxed, or sent electronically to the Bureau of Reclamation’s Acquisitions and Assistance Team in Yuma, Arizona. While the contract is directed toward Tecan U.S. Inc., all qualified sources can present offers, which the agency will review. The contract falls under the Department of the Interior and is managed through the Denver Federal Center office, though the place of performance specifics are not detailed.
