The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) plans to award a sole source, fixed-price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract valued up to $10 million to Remotec Inc. This contract will cover the procurement of spare parts, training, integration, and repair services for Nomadics systems currently deployed in contingency operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Due to the proprietary nature of these robotic systems and Nomadics Inc. being the sole provider capable of offering the necessary support and sustainment, the contract will be awarded non-competitively and is expected to extend through fiscal year 2010. The Nomadics systems play a critical role in supporting contingency operations overseas, and uninterrupted maintenance and operational readiness are essential for mission success. The contract is managed by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, located in Orlando, Florida, with Dana D. Graham serving as the point of contact. Responses to the announcement are not required, reflecting the non-competitive nature of this procurement due to its specialized technical requirements.
