J--SPECIAL NOTICE OF INTENT - SOLE SOURCE - UNITECH OF VICKSBURG, INC. - RENEWAL MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT

Notice of Intent to Sole Source ERDC Contracting intends to issue a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to Unitech of Vicksburg, Inc., 920 Belmont Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180. Unitech of Vicksburg is the only known local source that is capable of meeting the Government's Canon copier maintenance needs. The purchase order will include annual service agreement renewal for four (4) Canon copiers in the ERDC CHL Management Integration Office that exist on the Research Network (RN). All of these copiers were purchased from Unitech, Vicksburg and have always been maintained by this same vendor. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. CST on May 26, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
