The Department of the Air Force's Electronic Systems Center is seeking sources capable of sustaining and modernizing a range of critical ground-based radar and optical sensor systems under Air Force Space Command. These systems support missile warning, missile defense, and space surveillance missions, with the goal of optimizing lifecycle cost management. The contract encompasses various radar and sensor installations, including the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System radars located at Thule Air Base, Clear Air Force Base, and Fylingdales, as well as PAVE Phased Array Warning System radars at Cape Cod, Beale, and Robins Air Force Bases. Additional systems covered include the phased array radar at Eglin AFB, PARCS radar at Cavalier AFS, the GEODSS optical system at multiple sites, the Globus II radar in Norway, Moron Optical Surveillance System in Spain, and the AF Space Surveillance System VHF Fence and Distributed Space Command and Control facilities in Dahlgren, Virginia. The scope may adjust to add or remove sensors over time in response to mission requirements. The government is also considering whether to incorporate level 1 Operation and Maintenance support within this scope. This presolicitation notice invites qualified contractors to respond with capabilities related to both sustaining existing sensor technologies and implementing modernization efforts, ensuring continued operational readiness of the Air Force’s space and missile defense sensor infrastructure. The point of contact for this effort is Aaron G. Lasch, and additional information can be accessed through the related contract workspace link.
