The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contracting Office 2, plans to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to STERIS CORPORATION for comprehensive maintenance services on Steris sterilization equipment at the Castle Point VA Medical Center within the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System. The contract requires the contractor to deliver full technical support including on-site and phone assistance, OEM-compliant preventative and corrective maintenance, and detailed service reporting. Response to service calls must occur within four business hours, with on-site technician arrival guaranteed within one business day when necessary. The agreement also includes on-site training for Sterile Processing staff to ensure proper equipment operation. STERIS is the sole authorized provider for this specific equipment, as confirmed by the manufacturer, and market research has not identified any other qualified vendors, justifying the sole-source approach. It is not a competitive solicitation, but any interested party may submit a written response with documentation to Zachary Whiting, Contract Specialist, at zachary.whiting2@va.gov by July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted, and if no other viable offers are submitted, the government will move forward with the sole-source award to STERIS CORPORATION.
