Notice is hereby given that City of Hazleton will receive sealed bids online via the PennBid Program (http://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until 10:00 A.M, prevailing time on September 23, 2024 for the James, Peace, and 21st Streets Stormwater Improvements project, at which time the bids received will be opened via PennBID. The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, and oversight for mobilization/demobilization, roadway reconstruction, storm water improvements, and maintenance and protection of traffic. All bidding documents will be available online at no cost via the PennBid Program (http://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) beginning at 3:00 P.M. on September 6, 2024. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Davis Bacon Wage Rates shall apply to this contract. All Prime Contractor Bidders must be PENNDOT Prequalified as a Prime Contractor and for the tasks they complete, and all subcontractors must be PENNDOT Prequalified as a Sub-Contractor for the tasks assigned. Immediately following the due date and time, all bids received through PennBid will be opened online at the Engineer’s Office and referred to the City of Hazleton for final award.
