Requesting that Bldg 1909 kitchen be cleaned to remove silica containing dust. Space must meet food preparation hygiene standards. All surfaces in the Bldg 1909 kitchen will need to be sprayed down and vacuumed with a HEPA VAC. The air intakes and diffusers in these areas will need to be cleaned and filters replaced. Dispose of equipment not capable of being cleaned sufficently. Salvage equipment capable of being cleaned. Include Charlie Waldo in decision-making process of what to salvage. Once the cleaning is complete, air monitoring will be required for an 8 hour time weighted average. The kitchen area will need to be sealed off to prevent dust from moving into the rest of the building. The air intake vents in the area will need to be sealed. Repair or replace the floor, whichever is cheaper, that started this mess. If repairing the floor, make sure to properly seal it.
