The Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Reference Implementation Laboratory (JRIL), in coordination with the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisitions, Logistics, and Technology, is organizing interoperability testing events for Wideband Networking Waveform (WNW) and Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) systems. These Interoperability Quicklook (IQ) events will be conducted in three phases: Phase I focusing on Performance Characterization, Phase II on Interoperability Characterization, and an optional Phase III as a field event. The primary goal of these events is to provide vendors, including both JTRS Program of Record and non-Program of Record developers, with the opportunity to test their radio platforms in heterogeneous network environments to evaluate functionality, stability, and interoperability. Additionally, these evaluations will support Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) decision criteria and aid future procurement decisions for radios running WNW and/or SRW waveforms. The WNW testing phases I and II will take place at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina, with a potential Phase III field event scheduled for Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Vendors must provide WNW 4.0.5.1 capable radios compliant with the WNW RIL Configuration Capability Package, including required TRANSEC and HAIPE implementations, along with necessary personnel. Similarly, the SRW testing phases I and II will be conducted at CERDEC S&TCD at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, with Phase III also planned for Fort Huachuca. Vendors are required to have SRW 1.1.1 capable radios meeting similar compliance and security criteria. Each phase will run approximately two weeks, with detailed test plans provided to participants who select specific tests to participate in. Results will be shared with JPEO JTRS and the System of Systems Integration Directorate while maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information. Registration deadlines and points of contact are specified for vendors interested in participating.
