Justification for Sole Source Acquisition – GM Defense Chevrolet Suburban Shield Vehicles

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is proceeding with a sole source acquisition of GM Defense Chevrolet Suburban Shield armored vehicles under an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five-year period of performance, including one base year and four option years. The total ceiling value of the contract is $10,000,000, with a minimum guarantee of one vehicle and a maximum order quantity of twenty vehicles. Delivery locations and specific quantities will be determined on a task order basis, with no fixed FOB terms or detailed packaging, preservation, or marking requirements specified. Inspection and acceptance will be conducted by the FBI at the final Government destination, using performance-based criteria tied to OEM specifications and safety certifications.
