The OYS seeks proposals from qualified entities to provide collaborative programs that help youth, and their families address their unique needs. These programs can include a variety of services, such as mental health services, family engagement, nutritional services, life skills, and physical services. The goal of the proposed Juvenile Justice Wraparound Program identified in this RFP is to provide individual, intensive, comprehensive intervention and support services utilizing a coordinated Wraparound planning process with engaged support services. Wraparound programs shall help families and youth live safely and productively together, to meet their needs in a holistic way. This program brings together a team to help youth and their families realize their hopes and dreams, and experience success in their homes, communities, and schools. The team may include a Wraparound Facilitator, Community Navigator, Parent Peer Support, and Youth Peer Support as they work together to develop a plan of care that meets the youth’s and family’s needs. This program involves a paradigm shift from its traditional service delivery systems to a youth-centered focus to address youth barriers that prevent productivity and forward movement, such as a lack of resources, communication, and collaboration. The team works to find services to meet the needs of the youth and family, monitor their results, and make changes as needed. As the needs of the youth and family change, the provision of support services and interventions must intermingle the needs through a creative and flexible process. Commitment and support are unconditional, and the youth and family are not denied support when issues arise
