Full Description

The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302, - Other Than Full and Open Competition, to Applanix Corporation for Applanix POS MV V-3 PCS to V-4 Upgrade and related apparatus. Applanix Corporation is the sole developer and supplier of PCS platforms and associated; thus, the only known source that can fulfill the upgrade needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all quotes received within five (5) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
