The USDA-APHIS Wildlife Services is seeking a qualified small business contractor to construct a new 3,400-square-foot pre-engineered metal building at the Predator Research Facility in Millville, Utah, to support ecological research focused on carnivore management and reducing human-wildlife conflicts. The building will include four distinct sections—Kennel Areas A and B, a mud room, and a mechanical room—and must be built in accordance with final design documents developed by Cushing Terrell, with all materials and methods adhering to specified requirements such as 24-gauge PBU metal panels for the roof and soffits, proper foundation and utility installations, and compliance with applicable construction codes. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 236220, with proposals due by May 8, 2026, at 2 p.m. CT, following multiple amendments that updated technical clarifications, extended deadlines, and incorporated a price schedule. The contract requires a comprehensive site-specific safety plan, adherence to federal labor standards including Davis-Bacon wage rates, and full compliance with federal acquisition regulations, particularly regarding inspections, quality control, and accident prevention.
