The project includes building a temporary coffer dam for demolishing and removing the existing inlet, removing the old above ground pipeline, constructing a new intake structure that includes a 10-foot-wide settling basin, a concrete incased connection to a new 42-inch, high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, and an underground siphon pipeline in the same alignment and locations, upgrading the existing pump vault, and upgrading the diversion structure and an outlet structure from the open ditch to a new underground pipe. The inlet area will have stairs leading to a concrete pad with a 10-foot-tall chain link fence parallel to the steps and a 5-foot-tall chain link fence parallel to the river.
