The Bureau of Land Management Kingman Field (KFO) office is seeking assistance with preparing a Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) and Environmental Assessment (EA) to guide management of vegetation communities that aligns with objectives identified in Resource Management Plans (RMPs) and current DOI administration priorities. This landscape-scale strategy will utilize integrated treatment methods including manual, mechanical, prescribed fire, chemical, seeding, and other post-fire rehabilitation methods. In alignment with Executive Order 14308 and Secretarial Order 3443, the plan will support the administration’s goals to modernize wildfire prevention, reduce hazardous fuels, and enhance interagency coordination. The plan will also reflect the DOI’s commitment to restoring balanced, multiple-use access to public lands by promoting responsible grazing, timber harvesting, and habitat restoration while reducing invasive species and wildfire risk. These efforts will improve public safety, support rural economies, and restore critical big game habitat, all while empowering local decision-making and reducing regulatory burdens in line with the administration’s broader land management reforms.
