Kill-web Operations Sustainment & Maintenance Of SDA (Space Domain Awareness) Systems (KOSMOSS) Update for Industry
Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Government is providing an update regarding the Kill-web Operations Sustainment & Maintenance of SDA Systems (KOSMOSS) initiative, clarifying that it will not pursue a new standalone contract vehicle. Instead, existing multiple award IDIQ contracts will be leveraged to fulfill requirements, with each task order competed individually and timed to align with evolving operational needs across several years. This shift reflects strategic resource allocation and leadership direction to optimize acquisition efficiency rather than establish new contracting mechanisms. Industry is encouraged to engage through future industry days, SAM.gov postings, and targeted research on applicable IDIQ vehicles as requirements and acquisition timelines solidify. All inquiries related to KOSMOSS should be directed to the primary point of contact, Bradley Kettlewell, and secondary contact, Julia Kalp-Johnson, both reachable via SSC.PKL.SDA@spaceforce.mil. The notice was posted on July 17, 2026, with responses due by October 31, 2026, under the NAICS code 541330 for scientific and technical consulting services. The contracting office is located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado and operates under the Department of Defense’s Space Systems Command. No set-asides are being used, and the procurement remains open to all qualified contractors.

Full Description
The purpose of this notice is to provide industry an update of the Government's intention with the previously posted KOSMOSS sources sought. Due to resources and Government leadership direction, the Government is planning to use existing contract vehicles such as multiple award IDIQs instead of creating their own. Each requirement would be competed separately as taskorders as applicable and their times lines will be spread out over the next few years. As requirements and acquisition strategies and schedules become more firm, the Government will continue to inform industry of status via industry day events, sam.gov postings and specific multiple award IDIQ research. Thank you for your continued interest in supporting the United States Space Force!
