Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System - Arva Valve Chamber Safety Railings

The Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System, administered by the City of London, is seeking a qualified contractor for the removal and replacement of safety railings at the Arva Valve Chamber located at 13964 Medway Road, Arva, Ontario. The scope of work includes field verification of site conditions, the preparation of engineered stamped drawings, and the design, fabrication, and installation of new aluminum handrail and guardrail systems using 6061 Alloy. The project requires the selective demolition and disposal of existing systems and must strictly comply with the Ontario Building Code and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including specific requirements for confined space safety, fall protection, and the protection of water treatment equipment. The contract is anticipated to run from October 12, 2026, to November 16, 2026. Bidders must provide a minimum of three references from the past five years and maintain comprehensive general liability insurance of at least 5 million dollars and automobile liability of 2 million dollars.
