Lake Sector North Residential Fences

The Lake Sector North Residential Fences project, managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation Sierra District, involves the construction of privacy fencing for employee residences at Donner Memorial State Park and the Tahoe State Recreation Area in Truckee, California. The primary objective is to enhance resident privacy and reduce visitor foot traffic by restricting public access to employee residential areas. The scope of work includes the removal of an existing fence at Residence 2 of the Tahoe State Recreation Area and the installation of new fencing at Employee Residences 1, 2, and 7 at Donner Memorial State Park and Residence 2 at the Tahoe State Recreation Area. Technical specifications for the installation include grading a six-inch deep by two-foot wide alignment and excavating up to 65 postholes, each two feet deep and eight inches wide, spaced eight feet apart. The construction requires the installation of 6-inch by 6-inch treated wood posts secured with concrete, the attachment of three 2-inch by 4-inch horizontal support boards per post, and the installation of 6-foot high dog ear panel fencing with entry gates. The project is categorized as exempt under California Environmental Quality Act Classes 1, 3, and 4 due to the minor nature of the alterations and construction.
