AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the procurement of a halogen lamp specifically designed for use with surgical microscopes, complete with a stand. It applies to all medical acquisitions and requires that each unit be commercially packaged in a sealed container that protects against damage or breakage during transit. Exterior shipping containers must meet commercial standards suitable for safe delivery through common carriers at the lowest cost, and all materials must be marked according to the Medical Marking Standard No. 1, replacing previous military standards. The unit of issue is one lamp per order, and suppliers must provide the source and part number of the product offered. Technical and quality requirements are governed by the DLA Master List, with specific provisions on packaging and the removal of government identification from rejected supplies. The contract identifies the National Stock Number (NSN 6515-01-528-8003) and calls for a single unit to be delivered within 20 days after order. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense through the Medical Supply Chain MD SURG FSF, with Fort Leonard Wood as the place of performance. The deadline for responses is May 11, 2026, and the primary point of contact is Seth Tootell, reachable via email and phone for inquiries related to the procurement.
