Las Flores Pipeline CA-324 and CA-325 Repair and Maintenance Project at Nine Locations from Venadito Canyon to Gaviota State Park (Streambed Alteration Agreemen

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has issued Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-SBA-61813-R5 to Sable Offshore Corp., represented by B. Lance Yearwood, authorizing restoration and revegetation efforts to mitigate environmental impacts from prior pipeline repair activities. These activities occurred across nine stream sites within a total disturbed area of approximately 0.23 acres, stretching from Venadito Canyon to Gaviota State Park in Santa Barbara County. The work addresses previously unpermitted disruptions linked to the repair and maintenance of Pipeline CA-324 and CA-325, with the goal of returning each site to its original ecological condition by reestablishing in-kind or native plant communities that were present before the pipeline work. The agreement mandates both active and passive restoration methods to ensure long-term habitat recovery and ecological resilience. All vegetation efforts must align with pre-disturbance plant communities, emphasizing the use of locally appropriate species to support natural stream functions and aquatic ecosystems.
