Lawnmeadow Water Main Improvements

The City of Naperville, Illinois, has issued solicitation 26-173 for the Lawnmeadow Water Main Improvements project. The scope of work involves replacing approximately 6,500 feet of aging cast iron water mains from the 1960s with 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipes. The project covers several streets within the Lawnmeadow Subdivision, including Oswego Road, Lawnmeadow Lane, River Road, Berry Court, Clover Court, Thornapple Drive, and Wild Cherry Lane. Key deliverables include the installation of gate valves, fire hydrants, and water services, with some segments requiring specialized directional drilling. All work must adhere to City Standards and current ADA guidelines. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the Total Base Bid or Total Alternate A Bid. Qualified bidders must be pre-qualified by IDOT in drainage (#12), provide evidence of three similar projects completed within the last five years, and submit an IDOT Form BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. The performance period begins no earlier than April 15, 2027, with a substantial completion date of October 31, 2027, and final completion by June 30, 2028. Administrative requirements include a bid deposit of 10 percent of the total bid, as well as performance and payment bonds. Payment terms are net 30 via ACH through the City's Civic Access portal. The contractor must provide a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship and retain all project records for four years following completion. Responses were due electronically by November 18, 2026.
