This project, managed by Navfac Mid-Atlantic for the Department of the Navy, involves replacing multiple utility water valves and fire hydrants, with a specific requirement added for building FS-843. The primary objective is to resolve water pressurization issues currently affecting the training areas, as the existing hose setup between buildings 842 and 843 is insufficient for pressure washing needs. The scope of work includes addressing the main water line entering buildings 842 and 843 from the rear of building 843, where the range building's fire suppression system is located. Additionally, the contract requires the installation of two bollards to protect the hydrant from vehicle damage. The performance location for these improvements is situated at LCREEK.

Full Description

The complex manager currently runs a hose from Bldg 842, up the back side of Bldg 843, but due to the lack of water pressurization in the hose it does not supply enough water to pressure wash training areas. The main water line comes into bldgs 842 and 843 from the rear of 843 where the fire suppression system is for the range building. Add 2 bollards to protect hydrant from vehicles
