Full Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires continued maintenance support on the Government-owned proprietary LEADTOOLS imaging software licenses. Maintenance support consists of 24/7/365 technical support and receiving the latest upgrades, updates and fixes. The LEADTOOLS imaging software will allow SSA developers, of the Document Management Architecture (DMA) team, to continue replacing the existing Kofax imaging products, thereby eliminating issues related to support, complex upgrade, manual deployments, product modifications, performance and licensing. The software products will allow DMA developers to continue to create applications and deploy new functionality and software modifications immediately into the SSA lifecycle. The software products will also allow developers to easily script custom applications and deploy to hundreds of servers and workstations. The Agency purchased the LEADTOOLS imaging software in August 2006 under Purchase Order Number SS00-06-50286. Maintenance is currently provided under Purchase Order Number SS00-11-50213 and expires on August 8, 2012. SSA requires the continuation of this maintenance on the LEADTOOLS imaging software. The software is proprietary. Subsequently, Lead Technologies, Inc. is the sole provider of the required maintenance in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
