This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will NOT be issued. The closing date is 5:00 pm (CST) on Friday, May 24, 2013. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333318. This requirement is for the lease and maintenance of two (2) high band postage meter mailing machines per the specs below. Each machine will constitute a specific line item and will be delivered FOB Destination. Each machine shall be delivered and installed by July 1, 2013. HIGH BAND 190+ pieces of mail per minute Automatic with minimum scale weight capacity of 70 lbs. Handle flats and parcels Must have the ability to calculate each item's weights Must include Conveyor Stackers There will be a base + four option periods. The periods shall be as follows: Base: 07/01/13 - 06/30/2014 Option Year 1: 07/01/14 - 06/30/2015 Option Year 2: 07/01/15 - 06/30/2016 Option Year 3: 07/01/16 - 06/30/2017 Option Year 4: 07/01/17 - 06/30/2018 The pricing shall be per quarter per machine and totaled overall. The billing will be quarterly. This will include both machines for the life of the entire contract, the base plus 4 option periods.
