AI Contract Overview

The Department of State intends to award a sole source, firm fixed-price contract to the law firm Arthur Cox in Dublin, Ireland, for continued legal support services. The scope of work involves the acquisition of real estate in Dublin for the US Embassy. Because Arthur Cox is already managing the ongoing legal transactions, the government has determined that changing counsel at this stage would be detrimental to the property acquisition process. Under FAR 6.302-1, the government has identified Arthur Cox as the only responsible source capable of providing these specific continued services. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, other responsible sources may submit a capability statement with clear and convincing evidence of their ability to perform the work. Such responses must be submitted in writing by December 17, 2023, though the final decision to compete the action remains at the sole discretion of the government.
