Legion Decorative Pavement Marking Installations

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has issued solicitation SQ26-293 for the installation of preformed thermoplastic decorative pavement markings at Cenotaph locations in Bothwell, Merlin, and Wheatley. The scope of work includes the application of crosswalk lines and decorative ladder-type bars using retroreflective glass beads, all of which must adhere to Ontario Traffic Manual Books 7 and 11, as well as OPSS.MUNI 100 and OPSD standards. The project is scheduled to commence on October 12, 2026, with a completion date of October 30, 2026. Award is based 100% on price for compliant responses. To be considered compliant, bidders must submit electronic responses via the Municipal Bidding System by October 2, 2026, including mandatory PDF uploads of an insurance certificate, WSIB certificate, and a Buy Ontario Attestation. Key requirements include maintaining $5 million in Commercial General Liability insurance, providing surety bonds, and ensuring strict adherence to environmental protection laws. Payments will be processed monthly via proper invoices in accordance with the Construction Act. The Municipality reserves the right to reject bidders with poor safety records or those involved in unresolved litigation with the agency.
