Lift Station 9A

The City of Lemoore is implementing a wastewater collection system improvement project centered on the construction of Lift Station 9A. Located at the current Carmel Lift Station site on the east side of Carmel Drive in Kings County, California, this new facility is designed to replace both the Carmel and Viera lift stations and accommodate projected peak flows through 2040. The project is managed by the City of Lemoore Community Development Department, with City Manager Marissa Trejo serving as the primary point of contact. The scope of work includes the installation of a new gravity sewer main to redirect wastewater from the Viera lift station to Lift Station 9A. This pipeline will begin with a tie-in connection at South 19th Avenue south of Tammy Lane, route south through the City park area, cross beneath the SR198 westbound on/off-ramp within the Caltrans right-of-way, and terminate at the Lift Station 9A site. The project has been granted a Notice of Exemption under CEQA Sections 15061(b)(3) and Class 3 15303(d), as it involves the replacement of existing infrastructure within previously disturbed areas.
