Line Extension Contract (Agreement) with Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) to Install Natural Gas Service Line to District's Property Near Valencia WRP

The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts entered into a Line Extension Contract with the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) to install a natural gas service line for 5.6 acres of vacant land purchased in April 2025. Located on the east side of The Old Road north of the Valencia Water Reclamation Plant, the property is intended for future facilities to support plant operations. To prevent disruption of a major road improvement project by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to widen and reconstruct The Old Road, the utility installation is being prioritized. Under the agreement, SoCalGas will install a two-inch diameter service line extending 135 feet from its mainline in The Old Road to a capped stub on the property. The project is classified as a categorical exemption under CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 and 15304, as it involves minor modifications to existing public facilities.
