This requirement is sole source to the following company: Quality Cryogenics of Atlanta, LLC Cage 1DSR2 Justification for Sole Source: A new ESS chamber has been purchased. It is necessary to reduce the possibility of leakage due to manufacturing differences among multiple vendors. Quality Cryogenics installed the primary system in the 2005-2006 time range and is considered a priority vendor for modifications to the existing LN2 system. The new vacuum jacketed piping will service and connect to this primary system. The interface between the existing piping and the new piping will be made with a Bayonet connector. When connecting piping with the same vendor, the closest tolerance fits possible will improve the quality of the installation and reduce the possibility of a failure. The existing connections are made using Quality Cryogenics' proprietary bayonet connector. They must use this proprietary connector to interface with their existing piping, which is why we must use Quality Cryogenics for this work.
