Land management Service contract. The purpose of the project is to create a fuel break on National Forest lands and reduce excess fuel loads now and into the future as well as helping reduce further insect and disease outbreaks from trees weakened by wildfire that occurred in the area. The timely removal of severely fire-damaged trees and trees already infested by insects will help reduce the chances of further outbreaks or spread of insects to live trees in the geographic area._x000D_
Proposed actions include non-commercial snag removal and understory thinning of live trees less than 9 inches.
