The Town of Moretown is seeking bids from bridge contractors to furnish, install, and remove an approximately 95-foot temporary one-lane bridge over the Mad River. The bridge will be installed over an existing out-of-service concrete bridge off Route 100B at the intersection of Hooper Lane and Lovers Lane Road, at coordinates 44.300084°N, 72.698448°W. Bids should include construction of paved approaches. The bridge will provide access for residents and emergency vehicles while Lovers Lane Road is closed for reconstruction. It is expected to be needed from 12/1/26 to 10/31/27. Bids are due 9/15/26 at 11:00 AM at the Moretown Town Office. E-mailed bids will be accepted. All questions should be submitted in writing to Rae at the above address by 4:00 PM, 9/8/26.
