The British Columbia Highway Patrol (BCHP) Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section(CARS) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in British Columbia is responsible for theinvestigation, analysis and reconstruction of serious and fatal collisions as well as providing highly specialized mapping services for other investigative clients inclusive of, but not limited to: aerial mapping/photogrammetry, traditional surveying methods using total stations and GNSS receivers, and terrestrial laser scanning. BCHP CARS utilizes Faro Zone 3D Expert software to complete scale diagrams, perform comprehensive analysis, and provide 3D rendering of deliverables to meet its operational mandate.To maintain its operations, it is essential that the drawing software being used has continual support with the most recent software versions/releases and technical support on an “as and when needed” basis, at no additional costs to Canada.
