Full Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with T.I.S. America, Inc., 591 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA 01880 for the renewal of maintenance services for its Top Image Systems. This Government owned subsystem is an integral part of the Integrated Image Based Data Capture System (IIBDC) at the Wilkes Barre Data Operations Center. This procurement will be negotiated under the authority of 41 U.S.C. (253)(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Required services include maintenance of Government owned software, onsite and telephone support and travel. Maintenance services include updates, upgrades and fixes. This requirement will be for one year beginning with the issuance of a purchase order. This procurement will be accomplished in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS code for this procurement is 511210 and the small business size standard is $23 million. This notice is not a request for quotations. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct any future competitive procurements for these items. Any vendor capable of performing the preceding requirements must present electronic/written evidence of such capability by close of business November 17, 2008. The evidence must include a discussion of how the maintenance services would satisfy the proposed requirements, contact information for no more than three (3) customer references, and associated commercial price information on the software maintenance and support. The Government does not intend to pay for information received and does not intend to provide evaluation results to the sender. All responses should be sent to contact@example.gov. by 3:00 P.M. ET on November 17, 2008.
