This contract notice is a market survey aimed at identifying potential suppliers for assemblies and parts necessary to support the Recapitalization (RECAP) efforts and initial spares requirements for the FIREFINDER AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-37 radar systems. The required components include specific parts such as frequency multipliers, oscillators, cathode regulators, pulse amplifiers, RF converters, and Beam Steering Unit pin plates, some of which are identified by part numbers and National Stock Numbers (NSNs). Additionally, the requirement includes technical services to assist Tobyhanna Army Depot in implementing RECAP activities and addressing future obsolescence and sustainment issues for various system configurations. The government currently procures these items from Thales Raytheon Systems but is seeking interested and capable suppliers to evaluate market options. Interested parties are invited to submit detailed Statements of Capability demonstrating their technical qualifications to supply the specified parts and services, supported by relevant documentation such as test results, repair procedures, or evidence of prior vendor experience. This request does not constitute a solicitation or competitive proposal invitation; rather, it is a research step to gauge industry interest and capability. The procurement is intended to begin in July 2002, with an expected performance period of five years. Responses are due within 15 days of the notice, and the government reserves discretion to decide whether to seek competition based on submissions. The contract point of contact is Stan Dobies at the USA CECOM PM Firefinder office.
