MIL-Spec Wood Crates IAW ASTM D6880/PPP-B-621
Solicitation # N0017427Q0001
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division is soliciting quotes for a firm-fixed-price purchase order to manufacture 1,200 MIL-Spec wood shipping crates, specifically Container Assembly Drawing 1516298 Rev N, measuring approximately 81 x 8 x 8 inches. This procurement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 321920. The crates are intended for use in fleet-deliverable Aviation Critical Safety Items and must adhere to strict technical specifications, including ASTM D6880, PPP-B-621, and MIL-STD-129. Delivery is required by November 27, 2026, to the Indian Head, Maryland facility. Award will be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis, evaluating both technical specifications and total price, including shipping. To be deemed technically acceptable, offerors must provide documentation of an active CMMC Level 1 Self-Assessment in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS), though separate contract clauses mandate CMMC Level 2 compliance and NIST SP 800-171 R2 adherence for handling Controlled Unclassified Information. Additionally, contractors must maintain an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and provide a Final Dimensional Inspection Report for each deliverable. Interested parties must request technical drawings via email by November 9, 2026, and provide ITAR certification prior to the release of these documents. Final quote packages, including the company name, point of contact, UEI, and CAGE code, are due by November 12, 2026, at 8:00 AM EST.
