MCJROTC Academic Bowl Support

This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to procure services and support for the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (MCJROTC) participation in the 2019 Academic Bowl on-line (preliminary rounds) and in Washington, D.C. Thirty-five thousand high school cadets will participate initially, and then finalist teams will travel to Washington, D.C. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above products and services to the firm of College Options Foundation, Inc., 115 Lloyd Avenue, Tyrone, Georgia 30290. The Proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DURATION: This requirement extends five months overall, but mainly covers the championship rounds from June 21-25, 2019. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
