The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Detention Center, Los Angeles, CA, intends to make an award for subsistence food service items at the Department of Justice, Metropolitan Detention Center, Los Angeles. The contract type is a firm fixed price supply contract. The award will be made to the responsible vendors who submit the most advantageous quote to the Government. This website provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. The solicitation will be available on or about June 9, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on June 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. All vendors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. The Government will award to the responsible offer(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be most advantageous to the Government with past performance and price-considered, price being rated higher than past performance.
