The Riverside County Sheriff's Office, along with the Coroner's Office, is seeking quotations from qualified vendors to supply medical supplies on an as-needed basis over a five-year period, with the possibility of renewal in yearly increments contingent upon budget availability and lowest responsible bidder selection. The contract encompasses a comprehensive range of products detailed in Exhibit "A," with all prices inclusive of shipping, handling, delivery, fuel surcharges, and freight. Bidders are encouraged to submit their most competitive prices initially, as the Sheriff's Office may award the contract without negotiations. The solicitation emphasizes strict adherence to the specified product standards, allowing substitutions only if they meet the same quality and specifications; failure to comply may result in disqualification. The process includes specific submission deadlines, with questions due by June 12, 2024, and bid submissions due by June 20, 2024, both via PublicPurchase.com. The contract award is anticipated within 5 to 90 days following bid evaluation, depending on compliance with all bid criteria. This procurement aims to ensure the Sheriff's Office and Coroner's Office are equipped with reliable, standardized medical supplies aligned with their operational needs and legal responsibilities.

Full Description

The County of Riverside Purchasing, on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office (RSO), Coroner's Office, is soliciting quotations for medical supplies from qualified bidders on an as-needed basis for five years. The contract is renewable in 12-month increments within a County fiscal year (July 1 through June 30), based on the availability of budgetary funding from the lowest and most responsible, responsive bidder. The Sheriff's Office may award a contract without negotiation, so bidders should initially submit their lowest and best pricing. All prices quoted should include shipping and handling, delivery, fuel surcharges, and freight. Interested bidders should refer to Exhibit "A" of this RFQ for detailed product specifications and cost sheets. The Coroner’s Office was founded on May 2, 1893, and its primary responsibility is to investigate and report any unexpected, violent, or unusual deaths in the County, as required by California law. On January 4, 1999, the Coroner's Office merged with the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, becoming the 42nd county in the state to combine the Coroner's Office with the Sheriff's Office. The Coroner’s Office has identified the medical supplies listed in Exhibit "A" as the standard specification for this bid solicitation. Substitutions are acceptable if the specified item is unavailable if it meets the same quality and specification standards. Failure to meet these standards will result in disqualification from the bid process. The Sheriff's Office retains the authority to assess and reject any bids that do not meet the department's requirements. Therefore, we urge all bidders to review the specifications carefully to ensure bids meet the necessary standards and specifications. *Note: Bidders must complete and submit the following: 1.
