Menifee Elementary School Modernization Project

The Menifee Elementary School Modernization Project entails the complete replacement of 21 existing classrooms and the modernization of an additional 12 classrooms, all within the current school footprint without increasing student capacity or classroom count, maintaining a capacity of approximately 847 students. The project also includes the construction of new Transitional Kindergarten facilities, rebuilding of the library and multipurpose rooms, renovation of restrooms, playgrounds, athletic fields, parking lots, and site landscaping. Operations such as bus maintenance and solar panel systems will continue uninterrupted during construction. The Menifee Historical Museum and the Boys and Girls Club, currently located on-site, will be relocated to other facilities. Construction and demolition activities are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the school planned to reopen in August 2028. All work is subject to compliance with the California Building Code, California Education Code, and Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, with oversight provided by the California Department of Education and the Division of the State Architect. Environmental compliance is ensured through CEQA categorical exemptions under Sections 15302 and 15314, as the project does not involve expansion of student capacity or unusual environmental impacts. The Menifee Union School District serves as the lead agency responsible for project execution and approval, with Jim Sellers and Kyle Dee listed as the primary points of contact for facilities. The project is not a federal procurement contract and contains no standard FAR clauses, pricing data, contract types, or procurement-specific clauses, as it is governed by state-level education and environmental review processes rather than federal acquisition regulations.
