Full Description

Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a three (3) year noncompetitive procurement to Menzi USA Sales Inc., for ongoing and as-needed maintenance, labor, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, and warranties for existing County-owned Menzi heavy equipment for the Fleet Management Department at a total cost of $192,000.00. This procurement is being made in accordance with the County’s Procurement Policy Section 3-208(15) and is considered a noncompetitive procurement because Menzi USA Sales Inc. is the only authorized vendor in the State of Florida that can provide the required maintenance, services, parts, and warranties for existing Menzi heavy equipment and is only reasonably available from one (1) source. The services are required to ensure the County’s equipment is well maintained and in proper operation when in use. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached quote must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge to the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
