Full Description
Each Bid must be submitted accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Guarantee must be in the form of Cash, Bid Bond, Bank Check, Cashier’s Check or Treasurer’s Check, drawn to the order of the Borough of Modena. The proceeds thereof will be retained by the Borough of Modena as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to execute this Contract as set forth in the attached Proposal, General Conditions, Special Provisions, Demolition Drawings, and Specifications. A bidder’s personal check or non-certified corporate check is not an acceptable form of bid security. The surety firm must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A copy of the bid guarantee must be scanned and submitted electronically via the PennBid website.

All workmen performing work on this project shall be paid the general minimum Prevailing Wage Rates supplied herein, as determined by the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, in accordance with the Regulations for Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
