CDC Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Inhalation Support / TSI MOUDI-II InstrumentThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to award a sole-source contract for the purchase of a Micro Orifice Uniform-Deposit Impactor (MOUDI) from TSI Incorporated through simplified acquisition procedures. This procurement is justified because TSI is the only known supplier capable of providing a MOUDI instrument that meets the specific size classification requirements and the uniform sample deposition necessary for inhalation research. The contract will be a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 334516 and will support work to be performed in Morgantown, West Virginia. Interested parties are not being requested to submit competitive quotes, but those who believe they can fulfill the requirement may submit a capability statement by June 17, 2026, for consideration. The notice emphasizes that responding to this announcement does not guarantee the government will initiate a competitive procurement, and any costs incurred by responders will not be reimbursed. Questions and capability statements should be directed via email to the designated contract specialist, Aminah Gary, at the provided contact information. The decision to proceed with this sole-source acquisition rests solely with the government, which will use any received information to determine if competition is warranted. The solicitation number for this procurement is 75D301-26-Q-98063, and the official posting date is June 10, 2026.
