This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-18-Q-2208. Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase a micro Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) on a firm fixed price, sole source basis from Riptide Autonomous Solutions, LLC as follows: CLIN# Description Quantity 0001 Deep micro-UUV System complete: 124 mm in diameter, capable of conducting ocean operations to 6000-meter depths at periods up to 44 hours at 2 knots with no payload. System includes: one - UUV vehicle with 520 mm dry center section space available in front or in rear of battery pack for payload ; Sparton M1 MEMS AHRS Navigation System; Altimeter and pressure sensor installed; Open Source firmware or software installed; One 266 mm long AA Battery Module; Payload Clearance diameter; Field Spares Kit; Operations Manual; 60 Day Warranty 1 each 0002 Emergency Pinger, Dukane Model DKM 502/90; 6000 m depth rating, 90-day operating life; water activated on/off switch; mounted on hull 1 each 0003 Iridium Communications, UUV installation including antenna and vehicle electronics 1 each 0004 Case, Vehicle, Reusable Storage Case, sized for payload modified vehicle 1 each Riptide Autonomous Solutions, LLC (Pembroke, MA CAGE Code: 7BJ11) is the only known source for this item. They are the only company able to provide a UUV with a diameter of less than 6" and depth rating of 6,000 meters or greater. This requirement is being solicited as a sole source, unrestricted requirement under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by our agency. F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI.
