Solicitation # 4618-20260930092701
The Hattiesburg Clinic is seeking a full one-for-one refresh of its perimeter defense through solicitation 4618-20260930092701. The project requires the replacement of four end-of-life next-generation firewall (NGFW) appliances with two high-availability (HA) pairs, featuring redundant AC power supplies. One HA pair will be deployed at the Support Services campus and the other at the Orthopaedics campus in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The solution must support core security functions including IDS/IPS, web/URL content filtering, LAN-to-LAN IPSec VPN tunneling, and User-ID/Active Directory integration. The contract mandates a minimum three-year term for both premium 24x7 vendor support and advanced threat prevention and URL filtering subscriptions. A critical requirement is the completion of the full cutover for both HA pairs within 90 days of contract execution or equipment delivery, with failover testing conducted to validate vendor-published convergence targets. Implementation services are to be provided on a fixed-fee basis and include rule-base normalization and VPN tunnel migration. Proposals will be evaluated based on price, implementation timeline, support model, and demonstrated capability. Submission requirements include a technical narrative, itemized pricing, a detailed implementation plan, and at least one reference customer of comparable size. Additionally, bidders must provide a signed and notarized Affidavit of Non-Collusion and an MBE/WBE vendor status disclosure if applicable. The response deadline is October 22, 2026, with submissions handled via the Mississippi Agency Bid Bank.

The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to award a sole source contract to Microsoft Premier Support (MPS) to provide software sustainment for the 53rd Wing Operations Trusted Work Environment at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Under solicitation ID04130099, the government seeks to acquire Microsoft Premier Support SharePoint Enterprise services, which include problem resolution, rapid on-site support, information services, and support for workshops and events. These services are designed to provide essential reach-back capabilities to Microsoft program managers and developers to facilitate the creation of new SharePoint Enterprise capabilities. The procurement is justified as a sole source action under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) because SharePoint is proprietary software, and Microsoft is the only vendor with the necessary access to source codes, tools, and internal processes to provide the required level of support. The anticipated period of performance consists of a base year with one twelve month option year. This effort is categorized under NAICS code 541512 and is managed by the GSA FAS AAS Region 4 office in Atlanta, Georgia.

Notice of Intent: Amendment: Notice reopened from 4/11/2013 - 04/19/2013 April 2, 2013, 10:50am Close date: April 5, 2013 Federal General Services Administration (GSA) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with, Microsoft Premier Suipport (MPS), 8050 Microsoft Way, Charlotte NC 28273, to sustain the software of the current and future needs of the 53rd Wing Operations, Eglin AFB, FL 32542 Trusted Work Environment (TWE). The purpose of this action is to acquire Microsoft Premier Support SharePoint Enterprise services for which the Government will obtain the following: support for workshops and events, problem resolution support, rapid on-site support, and SharePoint Enterprise information services. This effort will provide reach-back capabilities to Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise program managers, developers, and support professionals necessary for the development of new SharePoint Enterprise capabilities. SharePoint is a web application platform developed by Microsoft and is proprietary software, which restricts users from modifications, sharing, redistribution or reverse engineering. There is no other known source as Microsoft Premier Support is the creator and sole proprietor of said software. Microsoft (MPS) require access to proprietary Microsoft source codes, tools, processes, and knowledge to provide the MPS. Therefore, GSA believes this is the only vendor capable of satisfying this requirement. When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source, FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2) full and open competition need not be provided for. The anticipated period of performance is a base year with one 12 month option year. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities and qualifications, in writing, within 4 days from the date of this announcement and provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exist, therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Submit response to the GSA, Attn: Karen P. Ziemba, email to karen.ziemba@gsa.gov . No telephonic or faxed requests will be honored.
