This contract involves conducting pesticide efficacy, crop tolerance, screening, and residue trials across various crop growing zones in North America under strict adherence to OECD and U.S. EPA Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Proponents are required to submit specific application forms for each trial type and location, ensuring documentation supports sufficient pest pressure and crop presence. Residue trials are focused on crops such as asparagus, celery, cranberry, hemp, onion, spices, quinoa, and buckwheat in designated zones, with certain zones receiving preference based on trial distribution needs. The efficacy, crop tolerance, and screening trials cover a range of pest management activities across entomology, pathology, and weed science disciplines for crops including asparagus, buckwheat, conifers, grape, broccoli, cabbage, caneberry, cucumber, radish, spinach, cranberry, ginseng, and sesame. Bids from locations outside specified zones may be considered if supported by evidence of crop cultivation and pest presence. The contract is issued by the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, with a response deadline in February 2026, aiming to support minor use pesticide research and registration through coordinated field and greenhouse trials.
