Mississippi State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP): Sponsoring Entity (Practice Site)

The Mississippi State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) is designed to address critical shortages in primary, dental, and mental health care by recruiting and retaining licensed physicians—specifically MDs and DOs—to serve in designated Health Professional Shortage Areas across Mississippi. Participants must commit to a minimum of two years of full-time service at an approved public or private healthcare organization located within one of these underserved regions, which may be defined by geography, population, or facility type. In return for their service, eligible providers may receive up to $150,000 in educational loan repayment assistance, helping to alleviate the financial burden of medical training and incentivizing long-term commitment to care in areas with the greatest need.
