This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Synopsis/Solicitation N00178-16-R-2063 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis to Midwest Microwave Solutions as they are the only source available that sells the required item. Part number 1U3000EX-2 meets form, fit, and function requirements. The introduction of any other similar product by any other manufacturer is not considered to be in the best interest of the Government with regard to configuration, performance and cost. Midwest Microwave Solutions, Inc. is located in Hiawatha, IA. Please include shipping/freight cost for FOB destination Virginia Beach, VA 23461-2097. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
